THE EVERGREEN ROTARY PARK in Bremerton is incredible! The park has
generous blacktop areas for bike riding, hopscotch and chalk pictures. Your
children can play basketball, volleyball or throw some horseshoes.
You’ll appreciate the covered picnic shelters and convenient
restrooms. Down at the water’s edge, your children can walk along the
water, skip rocks, look for marine life or check out the dock and boat
launch. You’ll notice two memorials – one to John Masengill, a
policeman who died in the line of duty and one to the soldiers of World War
I. A simple amphitheater located in the middle is a perfect place for a
spontaneous fashion show. Visit the locally owned CJ’s EVERGREEN GENERAL STORE, on the corner of Park and 15th
for soups, salads, sandwiches, ice cream & espresso. With over 11 local
vendors, you can find raw milk from Dungeness Valley Creamery or locally
brewed sodas from Hummingbird Hill. Wednesdays is .50˘ off a waffle ice
cream cone; Thursdays is .50˘ off a root beer float. CJ’s proudly
offers “old time sodas, a penny candy selection and old-fashioned
customer service."
